The concept

What is Boom Lab?

Boom Lab is a physical action game inspired by classic arcade worlds — brought to life with immersive rooms, lighting, sound, and interactive gameplay. Groups move through six challenges with increasing intensity, each with its own rules and objectives, building towards an unforgettable finale.

It is designed for families, friends, and corporate groups who want something active, social, and different, without the friction of complex learning curves.

Why it works

Why Boom Lab works

Instantly familiar gameplay

Players do not need to learn a complex system. With platforms, lasers, targets and movement-based challenges, the experience feels intuitive from the start — like stepping into a real-life arcade game.

True team-based gameplay

Boom Lab is built so every player stays active and involved. Success depends on communication, coordination and shared effort, making the experience feel collaborative from start to finish.

Designed to go viral

Visually striking rooms invite photos and video. Guests can keep their phones, turning every session into authentic, shareable content. This naturally drives organic visibility and word of mouth.

Six immersive challenges

One unforgettable finale

The experience is built around six distinct challenges across six rooms. Each has its own rules and objectives, with increasing difficulty as groups progress.

FAQ

Questions operators ask us

If you are exploring how Boom Lab could work in your city, here is what partners and operators most often ask us.

What does it cost to open a Boom Lab venue?

Between $250K and $295K, covering the licence, the game kit and the fit-out. Madrid took $685K in its first full year at a 35% operating margin, which pays the investment back out of operating profit in twelve to fifteen months. Every figure is on the licensing page.

How much space does it need?

250 m² is the working minimum for the six rooms plus circulation, reception and storage. Send us a floor plan and we will tell you whether the building works before you commit to it.

What is in the licence, and what do we pay for ourselves?

We licence the brand and software, the full game kit and hardware, content adapted to your market, training and product updates. You fund the venue, the fit-out, the permits and the local team, and you run it day to day.

How many people does it take to run?

One or two per shift. The game runs the session end to end, so your staff sell, host and reset rather than operate the rooms.

How long until we could open?

We do not put a date on it before seeing the building. The fit-out and the permits set that calendar, not us, and quoting a month we cannot control helps nobody.

Do we get exclusivity in our city or country?

Not as standard. Territory is agreed case by case and depends on the size of the market and what you commit to open. Master franchise terms are agreed per country.

Can we run Boom Lab and BuzzAttack in the same venue?

Yes. Both formats run on the same automation and the same support, so adding the second one in a market you already operate is not starting over.

Does the brand have to be Boom Lab?

No. The same game trades as Bombastik!, 123Boom!, BoomLab and Glow Or Go depending on the market. We pick the name that travels best where you are.
